Student rules
Heads up: Draft for review
Draft for the closed alpha. Version student-rules-2026-11-v1. Sixly hasn't approved it yet, so nobody should rely on it. Notes marked “For review” are for Sixly and its lawyer and come out before it's approved.
Students under 18 agree to these rules when they join. The parent or guardian who holds the account agrees to the alpha terms.
The rules
- Use Sixly for your own studying, and keep your sign-in to yourself.
- Sixly is an AI tutor, not a person. Answer keys and a math checker decide what's right; hints are written by AI and can be wrong.
- Add only schoolwork: your own steps and your own practice problems.
- Your parent or guardian holds the account and says yes before you can practice.
- If something seems wrong or makes you uncomfortable, use Report a problem or tell a parent.
What your parent can and can't see
What your parent can see
- The questions you practice and how they went
- The steps the checker caught, with a replay of your board
- When and how long you practice, and the sessions left on your plan
- Your goals and settings, and your answer about research use, which they can turn off
What your parent never sees
- The tutor's hints to you
- What you type to the tutor

For review: These words come from W2's prompt registry (ALPHA_STUDENT_RULES, version student-rules-2026-11-v1, the same as this page), so the page and the consent row's hash describe the same words.
